1. Have someone in the group explain the importance of John the Baptist coming before Jesus. Read Isaiah 40:3
2. Why does God sometimes Delay answers to our prayers? Read Isaiah 55:8-9
3. Zechariah doubted Gods word given to him from the angel Gabriel and he was disciplined. What are some consequences to doubting God’s word. (Example Numbers 13 God tells Moses to send out 12 spies, did they all believe Gods word? )
4. Tell about a time when God has answered a prayer you had. This not only gives God glory but encourages others. So be brave and share!
5. God gives us His promises in His Word, not always every detail of His plan for us. What are some promises God has given us? Romans 8:28, Psalms 34:8, Ephesians 3:20-21
