Q. What is the meaning of stewardship?

Q. The earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it (Psalm 24:1). Do you believe this? If it is true, what are the implications for how we must live?

Q. Jesus said in two separate quotes: “It is more blessed to give than to receive … One’s life does not consist in the abundance of the things he possesses.” What is the significance of these statements for you today?

Q. Discuss Jesus’ statement: “Consider the sparrows and the ravens … how much more valuable you are than the birds!”

Q. What did Jesus mean when He said that the rich fool was “not rich toward God?” Think in these terms: “For what profit is it to a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul? (Mt. 16:26)

Q. It is easy to fall into the trap of the “build bigger barns” philosophy of life. Think about the question Jesus asked the rich fool: “Who will get all these things you have kept for yourself?” You can’t take it with you when you die!

Q. How did Jesus describe the works of God? (See John 6:29).
